Empire of Steel was founded by a young aspiring barber, Sean Ong. Sean graduated from the Vidal Sassoon Academy in United States, California and has over 10 years of experience in the hair industry.

At Empire of Steel, they strongly believe that shapes are the fundamentals of every shave and haircut. Developing a shape that fits the customer is what makes a good haircut. Thus, high emphasis is placed on developing that unique shape that belongs to each customer where every haircut is tailored.
