With the new year right around the corner, it’s time to make good on that resolution and turn around the inertia. We are all great believers of “it’s never too late to jump back on the health bandwagon”, because new year, new me, right? Here, at Downtown Gallery, we inspire all who find themselves in a wellness slump to regain that motivation through fun workouts because every effort counts.

 

 

Sneak In a Quick Breather

The finest hybrid boutique fitness studio at Downtown Gallery, Upside Motion offers unique programmes for every fitness level. Squeeze in a lunchtime workout or end your day with some heart-pumping action with an award-winning Pilates and Xtend Barre class or their signature Aerial and Yoga classes. They even have a smartphone application now for quick bookings.

There’s always going to be another mountain, so climb it! You’d think climbing is a no-brainer sport but lots of body strength is essential for this workout. With over 25 different bouldering challenges to undertake across 30 metres of wall, classes range from the fundamentals for beginners to intermediate ones for the more familiar. Track your progress up the proverbial mountain during your time at Boulder Movement. For hesitant first-timers, there is also a “Basics of Bouldering” trial class that you can attend for only $35!

Get Motivated with Instructor-led Training

The name may be STILL, but you’ll be doing a lot of moving at STILL’s Boxing and 30/30 classes. In Boxing, you’ll be punching aqua bags, interspersed with sets of HIIT and cardio, to the beat of fast and lively music in a dim room lit by strobe lights. A quick and effective way of levelling up your stamina, this also doubles up as a fun stress-relief activity with your mates after a hectic work day.

 

 

 

If you’re looking for something less intensive, the recently launched STILL 30/30 is a great alternative - combining a high endurance and cool-down workout session in just under an hour. A high-intensity interval training followed by 30 minutes of relaxing yoga allows your body to transition smoothly from dynamic calorie-burning moves to restorative poses.

At Absolute Cycle, immerse yourself in an all-encompassing world of fast rhythmic beats as their inspiring instructors take you on a ride with their high intensity classes.
